Johannes Ohlmann-Lauber studied Geodesy and Geoinformation at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the ETH Zurich and graduated in fields of geodetical engineering and geoinformatics. Following his studies, he worked at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy of the Technical University of Munich in fields of research and teaching, concentrating on sensor technologies and laser scanning techniques.
Johannes Ohlmann-Lauber started his IP career in 2015 at the law firm Weber & Heim in Munich, where he had been trained in various national and international prosecution and litigation cases, concerning patents, utility models, trademarks and designs. He obtained his admission as a German Patent Attorney and European Trademark and Design Attorney in 2018 and is currently undergoing the European Patent Attorney training period.
